Welcome to the new home of The Menopause Diaries, and also to the first prompt for this meme. In the past, this was an open meme, and anyone could add their post about menopause any time they wanted. However, it was time to shake things up a bit, to give this meme the love and attention it needs, because menopause is an important subject and in my opinion is not talked about enough.
A monthly prompt
From now on, there will be a monthly prompt, but just like with Wicked Wednesday, this prompt will not be compulsory. The prompt will open on the first day of the month, and close on the last day. In the sidebar you will see the current prompt, as well as the prompt for the following month.
I hope the prompt will inspire more people to join in!
The first prompt
The first prompt for The Menopause Diaries is: the first signs of menopause.
There is a whole list of symptoms of menopause, but not every female body shows every symptom. Where one woman might suffer from hot flushes, another might not notice this at all. If you are someone who are heading towards or are already in the menopause, please share those first signs you have noticed.
Maybe you are too young to even be thinking about menopause, but your mom or grandmother or aunt has told you about how they first noticed the menopause approaching. Or, you might be the partner of someone who displays some symptoms of menopause.
We want to hear from all of you, whether you are the one with the symptoms, or someone in your family or circle of friends.
How to join in?
Everyone is welcome to join in. To keep things organized, please note the following:
- Write your post – it has to deal with menopause, but can be fact or fiction – and post it on your blog. Then come back here to link it below.
- Your post should show the badge of The Menopause Diaries, which you can find with the rules. If you are unsure how to add the badge, please read this guide.
- If you don’t have a blog but want to submit a post, please add your post here (please note, this page is only for when you don’t have a blog of your own, or when you don’t want the post on your own site).
